The family of Odjevwedje-Emesevwobue of Ehwerhe-Agbarho town in Ughelli North Local government area and Akpojisheri of Kokori Inland in Ethiope East local government area both of Delta State have announced the transition to glory of their beloved brother, Father, uncle and grand father, late Double Chief Joseph Obererhiri Odjevwedje also known as Okpan Arhibo, the Urhobo musical legend and music maestro slept in the Lord on March 22nd, 2022,
In a statement issued by the family also signed by his eldest son Chief Kessiena Odjevwedje Emesevwobue, also known as Shuun Bebe stated that there will be live musical concert on 26th June, 2022 at Charlington Hotel event hall, along Ughwrughelli road, Orho-Agbarho, where Urhobo traditional musicians would take center stage from 12:00 noon till 5:00pm, while circular musicians would also have their turn from 5:00pm till dawn,
While on Saturday 30th July 2022, there will be an open air service at St Endas College, former Agbarho Grammar School, Orho-Agbarho and the interment would take place at his residence at 14, Ikweghwu street, Winners Chapel road Agbarho,
According to the statement, the funeral reception will take place at St Endas College field, former Agbarho Grammar School Orho-Agbarho,
The late Okpan Arhibo had 200 albums to his credit and was until his death the president of urhobo performing musicians Nigeria, (Great Urhobo PMAN).
He was a Chief in Agbon Kingdom and Ughelli Kingdom respectively, he is survived by many children amongst whom are Chief Kessiena Okpan (Shuun Bebe), a veteran musician, Mrs Elohor Okpan, a Ghana based business woman and died at the age of 75.
